At CPV Agustinas, we continue to develop "Life Competencies"—one of the learning pillars of the International Schools Partnership (ISP)—which aims to prepare our students to navigate life effectively, both inside and outside the school environment. This month, our focus was on the Interpersonal competency, which relates to the ability to build positive relationships with others and work effectively as a team to achieve common goals. This competency encompasses three fundamental skills: social-emotional awareness, communication, and collaboration. These skills are developed through everyday experiences: learning to listen, expressing our ideas, understanding different perspectives, reaching agreements, collaborating with others, and managing the emotions that arise during social interactions. 🎲 Learning to interact with others can also be a game The game room became a particularly meaningful space for putting these skills into practice. Our students participated in various gaming sessions, interacting with peers they do not usually have the chance to engage with. Through games such as Dixit, Clue, Ludo, Piktureka, Basta, and Monopoly, they had to communicate, reach agreements, follow rules, make decisions, and handle situations such as winning, losing, or experiencing frustration. However, the challenge went beyond the game itself: the goal was to get to know one another in a different way, discover new forms of interaction, and value the experience of sharing time with others. Afterward, the students reflected on the experience and recognized how an everyday activity like playing a game can open up opportunities to develop skills that will be important throughout their lives.
